Diversion Safes – Help People Avoid Temptation

Let’s face it – people are curious and open to temptation. They are generally honest but when there is money or valuables available and no one’s looking…

Well, a Diversion Safe looks just like an everyday item that we would see in any household but these devices have a hollowed out center for your valuables – money, watch, keys, jewelry, notes to your kids, bill receipts (how many times have these been misplaced), and anything else you can think of.

Put these valuables in a variety of Diversion Safes and spread them throughout your house, garage or office. Just make sure they blend in with room. Even a dopey burglar might get suspicious if he saw a can of JB Oil next to a salt shaker or a Kibbles ‘n Bits Can Safe next to your toothbrush.

Burglars like to quickly get in and out with their loot. So, the object is to leave our valuables in plain sight but still be hidden. This is where Diversion Safes fit the bill.

Diversion Safes are just regular items that the burglar would see in any house, including his own. So why would he suspect that a Barbasol Shaving Cream Can would hold some jewelry? Or, in the garage, what about hiding your emergency house money in a Liquid Wrench Can Safe and put it with all the other cans on the garage shelf?

Not only burglars (who are bad guys by trade) are interested in your valuables – even neighbors and friends may get tempted when you leave your money out in plain sight.

Remember the TV commercial about the lady who opens the medicine cabinet door and all the shelves collapsed? Why did she even open the cabinet? She’s probably an honest lady – she was just curious, right?

Well what if that medicine cabinet hadn’t collapsed and she saw something of value in it – money, jewelry to be cleaned or who knows what. Would she have taken the valuables? Would you? Hopefully not.

Here are 2 examples of what can happen when we leave valuables available in our house:

Scenario 1: You had left a $20 bill on the kitchen table this morning for your teenage son. This afternoon he had some friends over for pizza and to watch the ballgame. That night the money was gone. Obviously your son used it to pay for the pizza, right? But he says they all chipped in and paid. What happened to the $20 bill?

Scenario 2: same as above but this time you put the $20 in a Flower Pot Diversion Safe and left it on the kitchen table. This time your son asks for money to pay the pizza guy and at the end of the day your money is still in the Flower Pot Safe.

Here are just a few different types of people who can rob you of your possessions because generally they’re left alone in your house for a time. We will consider them all honest people but still, some may still be tempted. But remember, the longer these people are in your house, the more temptation there might be:

- Your Kids’ Friends

- Nanny

- Trade People (plumbers, carpenters)

- TV repair or meter-reading people

- Nurses, medical people

- Delivery men

- Even dogs, believe it or not – for some dogs, anything left on the table is theirs as far as they are concerned!

- And don’t forget people coming to your house asking to use your phone or some other favor – yes there are still people doing this

- Your Family and Friends

Now I know you may not want to admit that relatives and friends might be tempted. You may say”My friends and family – Never!”

Maybe you’re right but think about the last few parties you held for family and friends – was there ever anything missing after the party was over? Maybe you didn’t notice it missing for a while but what did become of your watch that was on the living room table during the party…

Don’t help the burglar and don’t become a crime statistic. Hide your money and valuables in Diversion Safes and place them throughout your house or office to blend in so that a burglar would never suspect what they hold.

Don’t become a Crime Statistic.

"Is That a Camera in the Flowerpot?" and Other Surveillance Techniques

It is a scary thought to think that at any moment your house could be targeted by a group of prowlers to attempt a burglary. It is just as scary to know that someone within your neighborhood is also being targeted as a victim to these attacks. Such things can be avoided simply with having an excellent video surveillance system at your home. A hidden camera is a video camera that can be used to film other people without the knowledge. Most are small enough to hide within plain view of everyone and still being undetected by the people within the area. Obviously this would be why they are called “hidden cameras”. These small cameras have become more and more popular for home security.

They are popular when dealing with home security for the simple fact that they can be built to resemble practically any normal household item such as smoke detectors, clocks, laps, flowerpots, children toys, and the list continues. In fact, surveillance cameras have the ability to be built into practically any household item you can come up with. It is for this reason why they are able to blend into the settings of the room with such ease while still completing the task they was designed for, surveillance. Thirty years ago hidden cameras were mainly used by large corporate businesses, government agencies, and a few exotic millionaires who had the cash needed to afford them.

In this day and age however, surveillance equipment has been made cheap enough for anyone to be able to afford it. Also more and more stores are carrying cameras with this type of technology. No longer is it very hard for the common man to acquire such a device. Over the years with technology advancing at the rate it has, surveillance cameras have become much smaller and less expensive then they once were. And despite what most people believe, these are no longer devices that are considered exotic luxuries. They are also not just used by voyeurs or spies of the world. Small businesses are now able to catch people in the acts of counter theft, violence, vandalism, or sabotage.

Home owners can now leave their home without as much worry as to what will happen to all their prized possessions. They can feel free to take that vacation with the comfort that if something does happen, they will have video footage to show law enforcement officers. This could lead in the arrest of a group of burglars who may have been targeting your area next. Many business will still place surveillance cameras in plain view of the customers. This is used as more of a scare tactic then for surveillance uses. A person is a lot less likely to steal or break something if they think they are being watched by a camera. This is also true for employees to keep up a good work ethic while in the store.

Nanny cams are another name for hidden cameras. These are slowly gaining more and more popularity in the everyday world and for a good reason. Everyone hopes they can trust the person they leave in charge of their children, but in today’s world that sometimes is not the case. With a well placed camera you can either confirm your suspicions or at least put your mind at east by having video surveillance of how the sitter or nanny treats your children while you are not present in the home. Also many of these cameras have the ability to view the real time video right over the internet from another PC or a PC within your home. With all these advances in the world of surveillance, maybe it will help to decrease the level of crime in the country.

Wall Clock Cameras – The Perfect "Spy" to Protect You

Wall clock cameras can be one of the most important investments for your home or business security you can make. These clocks, with a camera inside, can give you video proof when you need it most.

Just imagine, your first full week of vacation in years has come along and you have decided to take your family to a resort on the coast. You plan to rest and relax. Your family is packed and ready to go, excited about the upcoming trip.

The only thing left to do is to find someone to take care of your dog and watch the house for you. You ask a trusted neighbor and he excitedly agrees to help you out. You and your family leave, never once worrying about your home, because you know it is being taken care of by your neighbor.

A week later your family returns. Nothing looks amiss. Your dog is healthy and the house looks the same as you left it. A couple weeks go by and you’re back to a normal life: work days, school days, car pools and bills to pay.

As you sit down with your monthly stack of bills you notice something amiss. There have been unauthorized charges on three of your credit cards. How did that happen?

You immediately call the credit companies and they tell you that the purchases started on the same day you went out of town on vacation. How could that be? Now you have to cancel all of your credit cards and have new ones issued. You need to change your banking information and hope that whoever found this information doesn’t also have your social security number. What a headache!

This headache could have been avoided by using a wall clock with hidden camera! If you had a spy camera wall clock you would have quickly seen that your “trusted” neighbor had snooped through all of your personal documents looking for your credit information. If used properly, clock cameras or clock camcorders are legal, and give you the proof you need for police and insurance claims.

Clock security cameras can be used in any room. Wall clock cameras are now available to match the decor in any room and never look out of place. Since most people have a habit of looking at the time, a hidden camera in a clock is perfect for getting solid evidence of misdeeds on video. You will get crystal clear shots, each and every time, of the person that has invaded your personal space.

Clock spy cameras are not just for home use though. Buy one for your office and keep an eye on your employees’ productivity. Have one next to your cash register in your retail shop and catch dishonest employees as they try to steal your hard earned money. Place a hidden clock camera in your bar. The next time your bartender decides his friends shouldn’t have to pay, you will not only know the truth but you will have proof on video too. That evidence could come in very handy fighting a possible unemployment claim.

A simple hidden clock camera can give you the ability to see the “real truth” in ways standard surveillance systems do not. You can easily use clock cameras to safeguard your childrens’ lives, personal property at home, and business assets.

Telescopic Steel Batons – Self Protection at Your Fingertips

Telescopic Steel Batons are self protection devices that can keep you from becoming a crime statistic if some thug threatens you and wants your money or worse.

“This could never happen to me” you might say, “because I live in a very safe and secure neighborhood”. OK, give your local police a call and ask them how many 1-on-1 attacks have been committed lately in your ‘safe neighborhood’. Also ask them how many home burglaries occurred in your area.

I’ll bet that you will be surprised at the amount of crime that you didn’t know about.

You need some form of self protection with you at all times. Pepper Spray is a great deterrent but the best device that I’ve found is the Telescopic Steel Baton.

Why? This Steel Baton starts out compacted at approximately 7 inches. You can wear it on your belt with a holster or carry it in your pocket or purse.

Now, this compacted 7 inch device probably won’t look very threatening to an attacker.

But, with just a flick of the wrist, you will have an extension of your arm up to 2 feet of solid steel at your fingertips. Now your Steel Baton looks more than threatening to an attacker!

Telescopic Steel Batons can be expanded to 16, 21 and 26 inches depending on the model. They are lightweight, compact when compressed and are excellent self protection devices.

When you smack a person it’s like being hit with a thin, solid metal pipe only worse because this device is a solid piece of steel.

One good swat in the arm, leg or torso with a Telescopic Steel Baton will stop most attackers in his tracks. Being lightweight, it’s easy to quickly smack your attacker again and again to make your point that you’re not fooling around.

Telescopic Steel Batons can help keep you from becoming a crime statistic. Whether at home or out on the street, an attacker is an attacker and will try to do you harm if he gets the chance. Don’t Be the Next Victim!
