Locksmiths were needed for lock repair, lock picking, lock installation and the continued involvement in creating more secure locking systems. Over the years locks have evolved from variations of the mortis lock, the Yale cylinder, and the combination lock to tackle the perceived threat of breaking and entering.

Today locksmiths can learn their profession through trade schools and even take degrees in this field. The locksmith industry is now expanding with a locksmith being able to focus on different parts of the trade like risk assessment and optimal security measures for commercial and home security. Each disk has the capacity to record up to 50 separate photographs. It has built-in flash and a tripod adaptor. The exposure selection is automatic and the focus is fixed, but there is a macro facility. Single, multi and self-timer shooting modes, back light control and a rechargeable battery are all standard; it is also a very quiet camera to operate. The conventional rechargeable battery is powerful enough to take 50 shots. An additional power pack is available that will enable you to take 4000 shots. The camera can also be worked directly from the mains as a true ‘electronic’ camera. There is a time lapse facility which allows a picture to be taken at various intervals, for instance either every minute or up to once every hour.
