What is the Best Hidden Spy Camera?

Because of huge advances in technology, hidden spy cameras are becoming more common than ever. Used to be that only law enforcement and government agencies could afford them or had the technical expertise to use and install them.

Now they are cheaper and less intimidating. So much so everyone can afford one with prices starting at under $100.00 and so easy to use and install even I can do it.

Spy cameras are just board cameras hidden inside an item used everyday in a home, business or office. Some examples include cordless phones, tissue box, a ***** or button, CO detector, alarm clock, wall clocks, exit sign and so many more-as many as 60 or more.

The whole idea of course is to catch someone doing something they shouldn’t be doing-like stealing from you or your business. Spy cameras are great for use as nanny cameras too-keeping an eye on your baby sitter or home security.

Because there are so many it is sometimes had to pick what is the best hidden spy camera. My preference and the preference of most of my customers is the wall clock hidden camera with built in DVR. The reasons are simple.

It can be used in any setting home, office or business and comes in two styles-neon and black. Each has a built in 8 GB SD card used to record up to 144 hours of video. To playback your recordings simply remove the SD card and insert it into your computer’s SD slot or use the RCA cables to hook up to your TV. Doesn’t get much easier than that!

They record in color and use area masking and motion recording so there is minimal dead recording time. The power cord for the clock powers the clock, camera and DVR.

The wall clock spy camera is perhaps the best all inclusive hidden camera with DVR there is. When are you getting one?

Hidden Cameras – Need Evidence?

Do you have reasons to believe someone is stealing from you, nanny or baby sitter is harming your kids, employee stealing your goods or money, customers stealing or vandalizing your products, street punks messing with your home or car or you feel your kids are stealing from you or a spouse is cheating on you? You will never be able to prove this unless you catch them in the act with ******** evidence. There is no better way to do this than a hidden camera w/DVR.

Hidden cameras can be in just about anything and nearly invisible to the ***** eye. There are many versions of covert hidden cameras even in full function items like an alarm clock, telephone, oscillating fan, teddy bears, and they can be in items as small as an ink pen. These everyday common items are where no one will expect there would be a hidden camera. Most hidden cameras can come wired or wireless which gives you the option to have the digital video recorder (DVR) wired to and near the camera or a wireless unit where you can hide the DVR at a much greater distance away from the camera. The wireless units offer an option of a high output transmitter, therefore giving the unit the ability to record video with distances up to 2,500 feet away.

Then there are the all in one hidden cameras or all inclusive cameras that have all you need built into one unit. Which means just plug the camera into the wall, aim in the direction you want to record and use the remote to start recording. That’s all there is to it. The unit even has a removable SD card to view all recordings on a SD reader slot on your computer. Most units built with an SD card use a 2 GB SD card and we have an 8 GB SD card built into our units. These units offer several levels of recording to give the user the option of better picture quality but less recording time or lesser picture quality with greater recording time.

Most hidden cameras have a couple of options in recording times. The standard options for recording times are 352 X 240 resolution which will be in real time at 30 FPS (frames per second) and 640 X 480 resolution at 12 FPS. Resolution is the ability of the camera to gather images for higher picture quality. The higher the resolution of the camera, the better picture quality you will have. The higher the resolution in recording, the better picture you will receive but you will have less recording time due to more FPS.

As you can see, there are many different kinds of cameras on the market today. I hope this article gives you a better understanding of what to look for and how they work. No matter what you need to protect or evidence you need to collect, a hidden camera is up to the job.

Hidden Camera – Make Sure It Is Hidden

For some, the reasons behind installing a hidden spy camera are very serious. When this is the case, it may not be enough that the camera is cleverly disguised as a pen, or button, or alarm clock. A large number of spy cameras are not simply camouflaged, they are hidden.

A hidden spy camera exists that is the size of a 9V battery. Another is slightly larger than a dime, and records in color and with audio. However, you should note that if you chose to record audio, you will have to let those being recorded know that they are being recorded. It is against Federal law to record hidden audio. It can be placed inside a smoke detector, or behind ceiling tiles. When getting caught is not an option, the spy camera that can be hidden offers more peace of mind than the camera that is well disguised, but sits right out in the open. The only downfall to the hidden spy camera is the installation, but most are easy enough for the average consumer to install.

A hidden spy camera could also be installed behind a painting or sign, inside a light-bulb, speaker, radio, DVD player, clock, electrical box, plant, etc. You can purchase a hidden spy camera separately, and then either install it, or have it installed. Alternatively, you can purchase this type of spy camera in a style that is already cleverly hidden inside one of these things or working devices.

A nanny that is up to no good might be suspicious of a teddy bear that sits out in front of the nursery. After all, nanny cams are a hot topic in Suburban America. However, she will probably not be suspicious of the pinhole camera shrewdly hidden away in the nursery’s working smoke detector, especially if you replace all of your smoke detectors with ones hiding spy cameras. Stay one step ahead of real trouble with a cleverly hidden spy camera.

Sometimes you want your surveillance to be known. You probably have little desire to catch a burglar in the act, verses your desire to never become a target. For these uses, it is best to announce your surveillance capabilities, and install both, hidden and visible cameras. However, for those times when you need to know what it going on, and do not want the act to simply be moved to another location, the well spy camera that is well hidden is your best option.

Before deciding which route to take with your surveillance, consider the following: Where will I most likely need to place my hidden spy camera? Who am I going to be spying on most often? Will I be able to supply power to the camera from where I place it? Should I use a wireless device? What will the lighting be like most often in the area that surrounds my camera? Answering these questions will be important to knowing exactly what kind of device you should purchase, and, whether or not it should even be hidden.

Nanny Cam To The Rescue

Simone Simpson asked:

It today’s society, it is often necessary for both parents to go out into the workforce. A two-parent income has become a normal part of society.

Often, this means that parents need to hire someone to take care of their young children.

Finding the right person can be a tedious task. Lets face it; no one can take care of our children like we can. When you have exhausted yourself finding the right nanny, and are comfortable with your choice, there will still be the nagging question; “did I make the right choice?”

With technology evolving continuously, you can now be sure that your children are safe with the incredible invention of the spy camera. You can place these amazing little devices around your home and know that your children are being taken care of.

Spy cameras can placed anywhere in your home and be virtually undetected. They come in such an assortment of styles that they will fit into any room or décor.

The choices seem almost endless. You can purchase hidden cameras in wall mirrors or clocks, Fire alarms and even in a pair of sunglasses. If you want to use a hidden camera in your child’s nursery or bedroom, using a hidden camera in an air purifier will be virtually undetected.

Keeping your valuables safe will also be an easy task when you use a hidden camera in the form of an alarm clock on your nightstand.

Let’s face it, in a perfect world this type of surveillance would not be needed. However, we do not live in a perfect world, and children are often the target of an aggression and abuse because they are not able to tell anyone. With a hidden camera, the camera can speak for the child and in the end; you can know that your choice is sound.

No one can ever be one hundred percent sure that they have chosen the right childcare provider. What seems too good to be true can often be just that.

However, thanks to technology, you can now put to rest the nagging fear and know for sure that your child or children are safe.

Wireless Hidden Cameras – Where You Least Expect Them!

Craig Anders asked:

Wireless hidden cameras are sold hidden in all shapes and sizes of household items. With your mirror doubling as your home security device, you’re being safe in style. Too many mirrors? Try an alarm clock hidden camera or even a tissue box that doubles as a home for your spy cam.

The options are limitless and the technology is affordable. Want to be creative? Buy a pinhole camera and mount it in any household item you desire.’

You never have to worry about what your wanted or unwanted house guests are up to when you’re not there. If you are paying your friend to come over to the house to clean for you and instead they’re sitting on your couch watching your TV while you pay them for their “cleaning work,” then you have a right to know!

The world of hidden spy cameras doesn’t have to be dark and scary. It’s a chance for you to reclaim your home and make sure things are going as you desire on a daily basis. You can’t sit at home and watch everything all day; life must go on. However, with hidden spy cameras you can do both.

There are a couple of options for your spy cam investments. You can go wireless and this ensures that you will not be trying to run wires to your recording devices. See, the camera gets the video feed and then you must connect it to a recording device, a VCR or DVR. If you go wireless, the strain of hiding wires won’t be an issue.

Although, if you’re looking for the easy way out, you can invest in an all-in-one hidden camera. This device allows you to record the data right onto an SD memory card that you can later put into your computer. Even better, you can watch playback from the camera itself. This spy camera thing couldn’t get any easier.

Plus, beyond spying on your friends and their shenanigans, you can actually catch a criminal in the act of trying to take you for all you’re worth. If you’ve ever had anything stolen from you, you can identify from the feeling that you want to catch the guy/girl that did it! Now, you don’t have to just wish that you could find who it was. You can simply take the recorded proof to the police, and you’re on your way to finding the person who’s responsible for stealing your brand new plasma TV.

Not to mention keeping the kids in line. Ever wonder which kid is telling the truth? Now you have an impartial judge to any situation. In placing wireless hidden cameras around your house, you really will have eyes everywhere. The kids won’t think his is the coolest option around, but you sure will.

Forget investing in a spy camera in order to be paranoid and live in fear. Invest in a spy camera in order to erase the fear. Settle in at night to review the footage to answer any of your questions about what the day brought around your home. Then smile and go to bed happy because you’re not scared of what happened, you’re in the know!
