I am a small female student who lives alone. I am terrified to go to sleep at night. I decided to contact ADT and have them come look at my home to set up a security system. They quoted me $2,245 install plus $27/month. I can’t afford this! I am researching security systems and see you can purchase them much cheaper, however I don’t know what to look for.

This is what I need:
20 wireless door/window sensors
1 window protector (non sliding/opening)
3 motion sensors
1 control panel
1 remote key

The house I live in has a lot of windows, I’m looking to protect all of the windows during the day, however activate the motion sensors at night as well- as the window protectors only work if the door is being slid open!

I would really appreciate all advice. I can afford the monthly fee however the start up cost is not affordable for me.
