How Covert Are The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras?

Sadly, theft, child/parent abuse, and vandalism are a way of life for us in the 21st century. Installing a Hidden Camera in your home or business is a wise choice because you will record the unsuspecting criminal doing his thing, with the hidden camera secretly recording their movement for future prosecution. With so many choices on the market, which one do you choose to monitor your home, child, elderly parent, vacation home, boat, or business? If the idea of a covert hidden camera that you can be set up and working without wires, cables, computers, or a degree from DeVry interests you, then you should investigate the SecureShot Covert Digital Video Recorder/Cameras.

The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras are a cost effective way to monitor your home or small business 24 hours a day/365 days a year. They use brand-named, fully functional consumer items to hide a very small “pinhole” camera. The items perform the normal functions they were intended for, so they are practically impossible to discover by your subject.

The coolest part about the SecureShot cameras are that the video is recorded to removable SD cards inside the item, so there is no camera cable or wires sticking out, nor does it transmit video over the airwaves like standard wireless cameras, broadcasting your image across the neighborhood. They are fully self-contained, and no one will know they are being recorded, unless they have a hidden camera detector, which most people don’t own.

They are motion activated, which means they won’t record unless there is movement. Once your camera is set in place, you “arm” it by pressing the power button on the included infrared remote control. You will hear a short “beep tone” that lets you know the SecureShot Camera is armed & ready to go.

There are no “tell-tale” extra lights, video cables, or switches which insures a totally covert and secure system. Depending on your needs, you can choose to record either real time black/white or color video, or high-resolution still images. Recording time depends on the size of the SD card. The video records MPEG4 30fps real time video, with a resolution 320 X 240. Or choose JPEG still shot images in a resolution of 640 X 240.

It automatically time/date stamps the video or still images for professional security or law enforcement needs. Every system includes a 512Mb, and 1Gb SD card, and the firmware is upgradeable via the SD slot for future upgrades. It will record 4 hours for each 1 GB, and you can install up to an 8 GB SD card, which will record up to 32 hours of video or tens of thousands of pictures

Changing the cameras settings are a breeze when you connect it to the “Video input” of your TV/Monitor/or VCR with the supplied RCA cable, and pressing the menu button on the remote control. Functions include: set the date and time, switch between 30fps video recording, or high-Resolution still shot recording of 1 image every 3 seconds during motion. The motion activation sensitivity is also adjustable to operate in practically any environment.

You can play back the recorded images or video from the unit by connecting the same RCA cable to your TV/Monitor, and hitting the play button on the remote control. You can also remove the SD card, and play the video on your computer via the included SD card reader. You can adjust the playback speed to 1-2 or 4X. No additional computer software is needed, as Windows Media Player or QuickTime will be able to play the video.

The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras are a great choice if you don’t want a full blown surveillance system, and need to monitor your home, business, boat, or just check up on your child’s nanny, or the people who are suppose to be taking care of your elderly parents.

Rear View Mirror Hidden Camera – A Review For Drivers

No matter what kind of vehicle you’re steering, the mere act of driving comes immediately with its own share of risks. Most of these – if not all – can be effectively addressed with the use of a rear view mirror hidden camera.

Do You Need a Rear View Mirror Hidden Camera?

As this surveillance and safety device will cost you several hundred dollars, it’s understandable that you’d like to be completely assured of its projected benefits. Listed below are its essential features. See for yourself what you can enjoy when you purchase hidden camera for your own car.

Rear View Camera

This system uses two kinds of cameras and the first one is installed directly inside the rear view mirror of your car. It is about a quarter of an inch in size and able to capture images in digital CMOS color. This is important as you’ll be able to provide more accurate details for any photo you might need to submit to the authorities in case of theft, vandalism, or any other vehicular accident. More importantly, this camera is also capable of recording audio, allowing you to record conversations without alerting potential troublemakers or any subject under surveillance.

Your purchase will usually include an 8GB SD card that you can use with the camera’s built-in memory card slot. If, however, that’s not enough for you then you can use a 16GB SD card.

This hidden camera can be rotated up to 360 degrees, which consequently allows you to record what is happening not only inside your car but also what’s in front or next to your car.

For image or video playback, just insert your system’s SD card to your computer or any other video-playing device.

To install this camera, just clip it on to your built-in rear view mirror. This camera also comes with a rechargeable battery which you can charge either by USB or plugging it to the auxiliary cigarette lighter of your vehicle.

External Camera

You can attach the second camera outside your car – perhaps below your bumper for a less obtrusive location – or on your rear dash. Unlike this type of camera, this one allows instant playback because it comes with a 3.6 inch thin-film transistor LCD monitor. Videos may also be played back at the real-time speed of 30 FPS. You can even use it to playback videos or images caught by your rear view camera.

With a rear view mirror hidden camera, you might as well have a hundred eyes working to guard your safety and your car’s!

Hidden DVR Cameras – For Home and Business Security

Fred Haynia asked:

Hidden cameras have come a long way. They were at one time available for law enforcement and government use. Now days, hidden cameras are available to everyone who may have a need to surveill an area where they suspect there is a problem.

Have you ever had a problem with your neighbor? Or how about vandalism around the outside of your house? You may have an idea who the culprit is, but you do not have positive proof. With a hidden camera, in particular the floodlight hidden dvr camera You can mount to a wall and nobody will know they are being recorded. It works just like a motion floodlight. When the culprit enters the area to be recorded, the hidden camera is motion activated. Now you have what you need to take to the authorities.

Do you own a business, any business. Do you feel you are being ripped off. Your inventory is off. You can’t figure out why? Money is constantly missing and you cannot pin it on anyone? Place one of these hidden dvr cameras in the area you need to be recorded and you will catch you thief. Years ago, I was in the liqour business. I could not fiqure out why and where all the Absolut vodka was disappearing to. Only wish I had one of these hidden cameras. Turns out after months of trying to find out what happened, a low level stock clerk was taking the vodka out the back door with the garbage. The exit sign hidden camera would have been a great help.

These are only a couple of examples for the use of a hidden dvr camera.

Here is some information on these cameras. With these hidden cameras you do not need to hook them up to your vcr or dvd recorder. There is a built in dvr that records to a sd card. You put the hidden camera where you want it and plug it in. Most come with motion detection area masking. If you have an area where cats, dogs or rodents roam, you do not want to record them. You can mask the lower quarter of the field of vision so it does not detect motion.

These hidden cameras are concealed in different everyday objects; exit sign, floodlight, boombox, alarm clock, wall clock to name a few.

These hidden cameras will not prevent a crime but you will have the evidence to prosecute the bad guy!

Wireless Hidden Cameras — Some Unusual Uses

Larry Zolna asked:

Wireless Hidden Cameras, sometimes called Nanny Cameras, are one of the most popular products when it comes to home security. Why? Because they work and they are easy to install — anyone can start recording in less than 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, most people think the only use for a Wireless Hidden Camera is to keep an eye on their nanny or baby sitter as they care for their child. Well, since they’re wireless, they are also portable. And, most wireless cameras have a range of 700 feet or more, which means they can be placed in many unusual places.

Here are some ideas for using a Wireless Hidden Camera that you may not have considered:

• Home for Aged People — a clock radio or picture frame camera could keep you informed about how your loved one is being treated

• Vacation Homes — since you’re not there all the time, your property is vulnerable to burglars, vandalism or worse. And, with all the natural disasters we’ve had lately, your Wireless Camera can be a valuable asset. You can monitor your property from your home computer using specified software, even from miles away.

• Rental Properties — put a sign on your property saying “This house is protected by a hidden camera.” Burglars seeing this will be less likely to bother with your house, plus you can keep an eye on your investment from your own home.

• Home Swimming Pools – monitor your kids from anywhere in your home. Now you can make sure that there are no unwanted visitors in your pool.

• Barns — ensure your animals or expensive tractors or tools are safe.

• You can even monitor your pets when you are away from home — great when you have a new puppy who likes to chew as well as “do his business” on your rug. Also, how well do the cat and dog really get along when you’re away?

• And don’t forget your apartment. Just because you have a locked door or buzzer downstairs, or even a gate guard at the door, doesn’t make you immune from burglars. Just watch a couple of cop shows on TV or movies and see how vulnerable your apartment really is.

There are many kinds of Wireless Hidden Cameras available in all sizes, shapes and colors. Some are even disguised as everyday working appliances, e.g. clock radio, boom box, or mantle clock.

So you see, there are many uses for Wireless Hidden Cameras. Just let your imagination run wild!

Don’t Become a Crime Statistic!
