Using a Wireless Hidden Camera to Spy on Anyone, Anywhere?

Well, just about anyone! Wireless hidden cameras are a type of camera usually small in size that allows you to “record” people usually without them knowing. These cameras are referred to as pinhole cameras or hidden cameras because they are usually not visible to the subject being filmed. A wireless pinhole camera can be disguised within another object such as a smoke detector, clock radio, baseball hats, plants and cell phones! Wireless hidden cameras are easier to use and install. The old wired cameras would be connected to TV, VCR, or DVR, the new wireless ones however can transmit a video signal to a receiver/recording device up to a few hundred feet! There are several different situations for the use of a hidden camera I have listed a few below with an example of each one, just so you can get a feel for what purpose you may use them for!

The Abusive Nanny – If you suspect something is up with the Nanny and your child or your child is really young and you just want to keep a watchful eye. This is a situation where a hidden camera will be a huge benefit. My mom is a nanny and she is so great with the boy she watches. But hey, that’s my mom, there are many people out there that watch kids, and they don’t treat them the way they are supposed to!

The Security – This is a situation where you want to watch your house, car, office, or anything else while you are away. This is also a great way to have “proof” available if something does happen!

That Filthy Cheating Spouse – Relationships don’t always last for ever! Fortunately you can find out when you need to end yours before it’s gone too far. Spy on your spouse with 100% secrecy, if they aren’t cheating nobody will ever even know you were even watching them, but if they are cheating now you will finally know the truth!

P.I. and home hobbyist – Professionals and hobbyists make use of the new wireless hidden camera technology and record all kinds of stuff. Your next clip might save your ass in a legal matter or you might make some cash sending it into America’s Funniest Home Videos!

Needless to say there really is a camera for every situation you would or could ever possibly be in. Some of today’s cameras are simply plug-n-play and just about everyone should be able to set it up in minutes. Most of the cameras take very little “experience” or knowledge, getting your videos is actually quite easy! These cameras are all very affordable as well, which is also nice because even though you might want to spy on someone or something I know you don’t want to have to pay thousands of dollars for a “system” and now you won’t have to! Take a look at how a wireless mini camera captures video and how you can watch the actual video! There are four “styles” of cameras which include…

All-In-One Hidden Camera – Technologically packed yet ridiculously simple for anyone to use. A camera and DVR (digital video recorder) are hidden into fully functional items that you may normally see around the house or office (ex. clock, air purifier, book even iPod docking station!) Now installation and set up of a wireless hidden camera is as simple as just plugging it in to an electrical outlet. Video is captured on a simple SD card that can be inserted into any personal computer and many home DVD players.

Internet Broadcast Spy Cams – These are completely wireless, simply plug in a USB receiver to your computer, then you hide the cam somewhere in your house. The cam sends a video signal to your computer where it broadcasts it or is saved to your computer!

Mini Camera with wires – Obviously these cams use wires while connecting to a device, the recording device could be a VCR, TV, DVD or DVR

Wireless Mini Camera – These are the exact same thing as the wired ones except that this one is wireless which makes it much easier to hide! This cam sends a video directly to a wireless receiver which then saves it to your VCR or DVR.

I hope that I have primed you up with enough info to decide which wireless hidden camera will suite your specific situation! Personally, I’ve set up a “Internet Broadcast Camera” and can check it out at my work computer or when I’m out and about via my iPhone, I can apply it to any one of the situations listed above. It came with an install guide and was quite easy to set up. I can absolutely guarantee that Hidden Cameras is a subject that you will lose yourself in for hours at a time because it’s just so interesting and there’s so much information about different types of cameras, it really is cool! Have fun in picking the right camera for all your needs!

Wireless Hidden Cameras — "it Wasn’t Me", Said the Nanny

Larry Zolna asked:

Mom came home from work, tired and looking forward to a relaxing evening.

As soon as she got through the door her two sons ran to meet her.  But something was wrong – Billy, the toddler, had a large bruise on his upper arm which wasn’t there when she left this morning.

A few weeks ago Mom had hired a nanny to watch her kids during the day.  The nanny came with good references and seemed to get along with the kids – Billy, 18 months, and Jimmy who just turned three.

They were normal boys who also had a hard day of playing, napping, eating and sometimes getting into mischief.

Mom asked the nanny where Billy got that dark bruise.  The nanny said that Jimmy, his older brother, smacked him in the arm with a Wiffle Ball bat.

Mom questioned Jimmy and he said that he didn’t do anything to his younger brother.  “I like playing with Jimmy – he’s my friend”.

But this wasn’t the first time this happened.  Mom had noticed other bruises on Billy over the past few weeks.  According to the nanny, they were all caused by his older brother who constantly denied it and said that the nanny hurt Billy.

Something didn’t sound right so Mom bought a Wireless Hidden Camera that looks like an AM/FM radio and put it in the living room.  The radio actually works so the nanny wouldn’t suspect that she was being watched.

Mom also connected the Wireless Hidden Camera to her home computer using the proper software.  This way she could log on from her computer at work to see what was happening in her living room whenever she wanted.

The next day went by without incident.  But the following day, while watching from her work computer, Mom observed the nanny with an angry face, grabbing Billy by his arms.  The nanny harshly pulled him off the sofa and began roughly shaking him causing poor Billy to cry in pain.

Mom was shocked and immediately left the office and hurried home.

When she got there, she confronted the nanny and found Billy still crying.

“What did you do to Billy?” Mom asked.

“It wasn’t me” said the nanny, “Jimmy hit him and pushed him on the floor”.

Mom then asked the nanny to take a look at her home computer, which showed the entire incident.

The nanny knew she was caught and Mom fired her on the spot and filed a complaint with the employment agency.

Thanks to a Wireless Hidden Camera, both children were spared the threat of further abuse.

Mom had peace of mind when she hired a new nanny.  The Wireless Hidden Camera gave her an extra pair of eyes to watch what was really happening in her home.

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Wireless Hidden Cameras and Maybe More!

Larry Zolna asked:

You are thinking about purchasing a wireless hidden camera but, like many people, are afraid of electronic products. You keep reading about words like “lux” and “camera resolution” and “line of sight” — do I really have to know what these mean? And, isn’t the wireless hidden camera hard to install?

The answer is NO and I’m going to tell you how easy it is to install and use your wireless hidden camera. I will also explain some of the “difficult” terms in plain, understandable English so you won’t be intimidated any more.

The best thing about a wireless hidden camera is just that — it’s WIRELESS! You won’t have to run any wires through your walls or under your rug.

These wireless cameras are called “hidden” because they are built into an existing everyday object that you see in your home or office. Most of these objects are functioning electrical appliances, e.g. clock radios, cordless phones, and even computer speakers.

Each object contains a wireless camera. The camera will function as long as the object is plugged into the wall outlet. For example, even when you turn your radio off, the camera is still working! These objects look natural when plugged into the wall, so your camera remains hidden and unsuspected.

Don’t forget — the object in which your camera is hidden is usually portable, e.g. clock radio. So even if you disconnect the plug from the wall — perhaps to move the object — you can still use your wireless camera with batteries. The batteries work for about 4-8 hours, so it’s best that you have another set handy or use a battery charger for a fresh supply.

You want to purchase a wireless surveillance camera system that is “Plug and Play.” This means just what it says — plug it in and begin using it! Your wireless hidden camera comes with 2 main components: 1) a camera and a transmitter connected inside an everyday object; and 2) a receiver which is attached to your VCR or TV. That’s all there is to it — you’re now ready to record!

Record what? There are unlimited uses for your wireless hidden camera.

How about as a hidden nanny camera — you can watch your children while they are being cared for by their nanny or baby sitter. What about your mother or father who is getting up in years and needs special care. Wouldn’t it be great to know who’s on your property all the time or even at the door? And how about your children — you can keep an eye on your tots with your hidden nanny camera to make sure they don’t leave the house or property. And, now with your small security camera, you will know the real time your teens return home at night!

By using wireless hidden cameras in the workplace, you will always be aware of what’s going on in your store, office and warehouse. Just set up a hidden camera to view your cash register, entrance and exit doors, loading dock, or just about anywhere.

All this and much more can be viewed from your VCR tape or live on your TV. And, with special software, you can watch what’s going on in your home or business on your computer screen, even when you’re away.

Should you choose a Black and White (B/W) or Color Camera? That is a personal choice that you should make. A Black and White camera does better as a low light wireless camera than a color camera because it has a lower lux. Color Cameras, however, would be more helpful to the police in identifying the burglar, shoplifter, assailant, etc. by giving a better description — for example, “the man with red hair in the green and yellow shirt.”

Finally, I promised to explain some technical camera terms. Here are some of the general questions you might ask about your wireless hidden camera:

• What is a Wireless Camera? A wireless camera consists of a camera with a transmitter attached to it and a receiver which connects to a VCR or a TV.

• What is “Plug and Play”? Plug and Play is the easy way to install your wireless surveillance camera system. Just connect the power supply (either AC for wall power or the battery pack) to your camera. Place the object containing the camera to show what you want to review. Connect the receiver to your TV or VCR using the red and yellow RCA cable from the receiver. You are now set up.

• What is a Transmitter? A transmitter is a device that converts video signals into radio frequency signals and transmits them as radio waves.

• What is a Receiver? A receiver is an electronic device that receives radio signals from a transmitter and decodes the signal for use as pictures on your VCR or TV.

• What is “Lux”? Lux is a method of measuring a camera’s sensitivity to light, i.e. it is the amount of light the camera needs to provide an image. The lower the number, the less light the camera needs to reproduce a clear image. A Black and White camera usually has a lower lux than a color camera. It will hold an image longer than a color camera. For example, a B/W camera with a .05 lux will be better in low light than a color camera with a .5 lux.

• What is the meaning of “camera resolution” for security cameras? Camera resolution is a measure of the clearness of a security camera. It’s determined by the number of horizontal video lines that the camera must have to reproduce the correct image. The higher the resolution number, the sharper the image.

• What is a Monitor? A monitor is what you use to view your camera image. The monitor could be a TV, CCTV (closed circuit TV) or even your computer screen.

• What is “Line of Sight”? Line of Sight means that the video signal travels from the transmitter in your camera to a dedicated receiver (e.g. VCR or TV) placed a certain distance away with no obstructions or interference between the two. The signal can go through walls and floors. Low Power Cameras usually have a line of sight of 700 feet. However, you can upgrade to a High Power Camera which has a line of sight of 3,500 feet.

So there you have it — you don’t have to be a camera buff to install or operate your wireless hidden camera. Just plug and play!

Don’t Become the Next Crime Statistic! A wireless hidden camera will show you

what’s REALLY happening in your home or business.

How To Connect A Hidden Camera To Your Computer

Glenn Freiboth asked:

Most hidden cameras today’s are designed to be hooked up to a TV set for viewing only or to an old VCR for recording video surveillance and reviewing the camera video at a later time. Very few people know how to hook up a hidden camera to their computer so that they can record and view it using their computer. This article explains in detail what you need to purchase and how to install the components so that you can not only view and record hidden camera video surveillance on your computer but also view the video remotely through the Internet for free.

While most hidden cameras will most likely work with this setup we can only verify these hidden cameras will work for sure. The Hidden Camera VISEC Software-Hardware System is just the thing for making your hidden camera work with your laptop or desktop computer.

For a wired or wireless hidden camera you will need the GrabBee II to connect your camera(s) to your computer. The GrabBee II is the bridge between the wireless or hidden camera and your computer. The GrabBee II converts analog video signal to digital through your USB port. Plug & Play installation allows you to connect the number of cameras equal to the number of USB ports on your computer. Comes with software and all the connecting cables you will need to hook it up. GrabBee II

VISEC Software:

The software that gets installed on the computer was developed as a next generation computer program by NASA Level Programmers.

This software has the following features.

* Watch your pets, nanny, babysitter even your kids!

* View from any location in the world via the Internet.

* Use your computer’s IP address to log on and immediately view live or past video.

* Record all video activity, or just when motion is detected.

* In motion detection mode you can be alerted by email, cell phone or PDA when motion is detected.

* Can also be used as a stealth surveillance system allowing the program to operate secretly on your computer. Suspect an abusive nanny or cheating spouse? Simply set VISEC on ’secret’ mode and record everything for possible evidence.

* VISEC is extremely easy to use. Installation and configuration will only take 5 minutes.

In the past, it was quite costly to connect a hidden camera to work with your computer. But with VISEC you can turn your computer into a powerful surveillance system at a fraction of a regular security system cost. VISEC has no monthly fees and, for a one-time fee, you can receive a lifetime of free updates.

Please Note:

When remote viewing via the Internet, you will get a snap shot every 6 sec. You are not actually viewing real time video.
